The Boozy Samoa
Last weekend we snatched up our first few boxes of Girl Scout cookies. And QUICK, before anyone could gobble them up, I hid a box (or two!) so that I could get down to it and make a few fun cocktails to go along with them.
I can't understand how anyone could possibly have another favorite than the Samoa, though, so I'm not going to even bother spending two minutes trying to decide which one I want to delve into first.
This little drinky-drink is so tasty. Perfect to sip on post-dinner as part of your after-supper treat. We added a coconut/caramel/shaved chocolate rim, some caramel sauce, and clearly the best garnish a girl could ask for. Take a look...
The Boozy Samoa
Ingredients:
~ 2 ounces chocolate liqueur
~ 1 1/2 ounces of caramel vodka
~ 1 1/2 ounces of Malibu rum
~ 1 oz half & half
~ 2 tablespoons of chocolate syrup
~ Shredded coconut
~ Caramel syrup
~ Samoa girl scout cookie (or two, three, or ten...)
Directions:
Pour a tablespoon of caramel sauce on a small plate and twist the rim of your cocktail glass on the plate until it is fully coated with caramel.
Sprinkle coconut & chocolate shavings on another plate and tap the top pf your cocktail glass rim into the mixture.
In a cocktail shaker full of ice, combine all of the remaining drink ingredients (chocolate liqueur, half and half, caramel vodka, and Malibu rum and shake until well chilled.
Drizzle a little caramel & chocolate syrups in the bottom of your cocktail glass and then pour the contents of your shaker into the glass.
Cut a slit in the Samoa cookie and add to the rim of your cocktail glass. Sit back, relax, and ENJOY!
I don't care how many Girl Scout cookie replicas make it to the year-round grocery store cookie shelves, nothing quite beats the original. Add a little booze and you have the absolute crown of confection cocktails.
