Mini Herb Garden in a Copper Pot

My middle daughter loves to cook - and eat. She is the only one of my three children who hates ‘kid food’ - eat out at a restaurant and offer her a choice of pizza, chicken nuggets, or grilled cheese and she is mortified.  Favorite meal-salmon with asparagus. And my mind is BLOWN after 8 years of (attempting) to feed the pickiest eating boy I know.

Luckily, picky eating boy is getting much more adventurous at the ripe old age of 8 and my middle one is eager to experiment in the kitchen.

So we all planted a few herbs (they each picked one) and have watered and loved and watched them grow. And last night we washed up some basil and chopped it over our pasta....perfection!

And of course my girl had to add pretty signs, so she used  mini chalkboards (from JoAnn fabrics) and glued them to large popsicle sticks-so easy!

Looking forward to a large yard full of vegetables and herbs galore one day... but for now this cute copper pot full of herbs by the kids is bringing us all the smiles. Would love it if you have recipes to share!!
